The Hungarian Reformed Charity Service (HRCA) was founded by the Hungarian Reformed Church in 2006. In accordance with international and Hungarian legislation, the foundation carries out its charitable, public benefit activities in cooperation with the Hungarian authorities, strictly following the guidelines disclosed in the documents accessible on the organization's website.

 

The Charity Aid HRCA ensures, in accordance with the provisions of the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679, GDPR), that natural persons who come into contact with the foundation are informed about the most important rules that form the basis of data management, as well as the rights of the concerned natural person. Every year, HRCA prepares and publishes a public interest report containing detailed text and financial reports for their board of trustees and supervisory body. In addition, their work can be continuously monitored on their website, social media platforms and in the press.

 

HRCA provides their corporate supporters with a detailed report on the use of the offered donations at the end of each program.

 

According to the law LXXVI of 2017 on the transparency of organizations supported from abroad, the Hungarian Reformed Charities Foundation is also considered an organization supported from abroad.

 

Just to name a few of the chairy’s support areas:

 

• social assistance

• supporting families in need for medical treatment

• infrastructure development

• mentoring program to restore the solvency of indebted families in need

• assistance in the event of a disaster 

• emergency and health care in disaster areas

• emergency assistance packages 

• damage mitigation, reconstruction, and repairs to damaged property

• dog research and rescue team (since 2019)

• flood protection

• intervening volunteer fire brigade

• agriculture rescue program

• support for educational institutions, school supply aid

• summer camps for children in extreme poverty

• support for orphans and children with disabilities and young adults

More Details (Ukraine):

The Hungarian Reformed Church Aid was among the first organizations to mobilize its staff and volunteers to provide immediate assistance to those fleeing the war. HRCA has been helping with food, hygiene kits, information, spiritual support and shelter. Also they have been providing emergency packets to those remaining in Ukraine. The donations have reached  approximately 461 tons delivered (of which 280 tons of nonperishable food) and have been able to provide shelter for around 7000 people and have given assistance over 200 000 times at 29 locations across the country.
