DRUMROLL PLEASE....
Drumroll, please! We are happy to announce that the final results for our “Fundraising for Kisdobrony - Laptops for Students'' are in. The outcome of our campaign exceeded all our expectations. During the very last days the donation amount got more than doubled!
Our original goal was collecting $4500.
We have collected $9,957 (3,574,523 HUF) in total. In addition, we are now able to refurbish 60 computer donations, which were generously donated earlier to the charity (HRCA) and now became part of our campaign to be distributed among students in the Zakarpattia area/Kárpátalja (western Ukraine).
Stay tuned as we’ll keep you posted about all the details of how the funds have been used to provide the students of Kisdobrony with personal laptops.
We can’t even express enough our gratitude towards all donors. Keep in mind that all donors’ personal information have been kept private by the 2 organizations handling the donations, meaning that we, the campaign organizers, don’t know your names. Please know that your contributions will make a huge difference in the life of these students in Ukraine. With your support these kids will have the chance for a better future. Thank you.
We’d like to express our very special thanks to LiveOak Presbyterian Church Leander Texas and the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid (HRCA) for their tremendous support for this fundraiser. We couldn’t have made it without you.
We also appreciate the support from all organizations and businesses who helped to spread the word about the campaign, including but not limited to:
Austin Hungarian Association, Hungarian Diaspora Council Regional President of USA, Bocskai Radio Cleveland, Magyar Híd Vancouveri Magyar Radio, Colores Spanish Immersion Preschool Austin, Haute European Salon and Beauty Products Austin, Galambos Family Hungarian Food Round Rock, Magyar Radio Toronto, MÓKA Podcast, Vista Ridge High School STUCO students, The Hungarian American Association of Washington State, EuroCircle Austin (Europeans in Austin), Caballo Ranch Residents and many more.
Big thanks to Kisdobrony Lyceum’s teachers, students and Kisdobrony Reformed Church Pastor Tamas Bernát for sending us photographs and personal messages to be used in the campaign.
Thanks to Lutheran missionary pastor János Szeverényi for connecting us with Kisdobrony.
We feel now like the little boy in a story in the New Testament, who offered his 5 bread and 2 fish when Jesus asked for help feeding 5000 people who were gathering to listen to Him in the middle of nowhere. Thanks to God’s blessing the boy's small contribution turned out to be more than enough to feed thousands. (John 6:1-14)
Thank you so much. God bless you all!
